Historical restoration of double rise bellows, tracker action, and flute ranks on 1904 Pfeffer pipe organ.

Quimby Pipe Organs was contracted to rebuild the entire double-rise reservoir on the pipe organ.  This included cleaning and installation of new canvas hinges and new leather with a chrome content of at least 3.5%.  We replaced pipe feet as needed to repair pipes in the tenor octave of the four string ranks.  We repaired the 16′ Open Wood pipes as needed to restore pipe speech, and adjusted the action.  We finished with a complete tuning of the instrument.  This work was accomplished in 1998.
