Samantha Koch, joined the Quimby Pipe Organs staff in May, 2016, when she received her Master of Music in Organ Technology, with an additional concentration in Organ Performance, from the American Organ Institute at the University of Oklahoma. During her time at the American Organ Institute and QPO, prior to her full-time employment, Samantha gained experience in flue and reed voicing, pipe making, tuning, and general organ construction and design. While at OU, she studied organ with Dr. Damin Spritzer and Dr. John Schwandt. In 2012, she received her Bachelor of Music in Organ Performance from East Carolina University and served as Organ Scholar at Providence United Methodist Church during the installation of a restored and enlarged Aeolian-Skinner pipe organ. Samantha is an associate member of the American Institute of Organbuilders and a member of MENSA.
